Ron
Chandler
My name is Ron Chandler. I joined the White Dragons
of Bushido system in August 1999 when I was thirty-eight
years old. Before that I studied under Sensei David
Franz of East Coast Tae Kwon Do.
Joining White Dragons of Bushido has been a great blessing
in my life. When Master Bennett
asked me to provide a picture after I received my black-belt,
I asked him if the picture could actually portray how
I felt upon receiving my black-belt. That's why my arms
are outstretched and my hands clenched in a victory
sign. It was a thrilling and emotional experience that
represented years of hard work and effort.
By trade, I am a City Manager and graduated from Brigham
Young University with a Master of Public Administration
Degree. I am married to Elizabeth (Liz) Lemmon and together
we have five children - Jason, Christopher, Kelsey,
Carson and Emily. Liz actually started my involvement
with martial arts when she introduced me to Sensei David
Franz, whom we affectionately call Mr. David. I especially
enjoy practicing with my children. Carson tells his
teachers that his Dad uses him as a practice dummy for
martial arts.
I want to thank my family, the Bennetts and all who
have encouraged me in martial arts. Not only have the
Bennetts been great instructors, they have been great
friends. This friendship, in the end, is the most important
blessing I have received from White Dragons of Bushido.
I have recently earned my 2nd Dan Black Belt on August
9, 2003. |
