He started in the battling arts in 1991 after he watched
a dangerous performance by a club in the University
in Gaza; he wanted to join it to learn the form of martial
arts which is Kobudu.
His teacher is Jamal Al-okaylee, and teaches battling
arts, Karate Shotukan, Kobudu, and holds the black belt

Eyad has learned from his teacher many moves and secrets
of this sport, and after playing it enough he has mastered
it, loved it, and has uncovered many of its secrets,
and has stood out among other players.
He has performed the following in his home country:
He first competed in the first National Palestinian
Championship in 1994, winning first place, which was
an exciting an encouraging start for him in this sport,
encouraging him to continue and become who he is today.
In 1997, the Palestinian Association of Nunchaku decided
to choose the best ten players in Palestine to represent
the country, and compete against others. It was very
tough; he had to compete with very talented and strong
opponents. He gave it all he had, and came through,
winning and taking first place on the Palestinian national
team.
Some of his accomplishments:
He opened a club "Al Helal Athletic Club",
to teach martial arts, and this club is still open to
the public.

the cities of Aswan and Luxor, as a Palestinian team
member.
When he traveled to the USA to visit his brother, Eyad
made an unplanned visit to the White Dragon of Bushido
Dojo in Ogden, Utah, and met Shihan Ron
Bennett, and his generous wife Jaylene.
He was very happy with this visit, joining the club
on Dec. 29 2000. With this opportunity, he would like
to thank Ron Bennett and his wife for the support, care,
and hospitality they gave him, and all the players and
staff and teachers at the club for all they've done
for him.
In the beginning, when he joined the club, he taught
a number of students carrying the black belt about the
ways of Kobudu, which is the Korean style of weapons.
He has competed in many championships, the first of
which was here in Utah, and the organizer was his Teacher,
Shihan Bennett. He won first place in weapons, and second
place in overall points. This was an excellent starting
point for him, here in the US.
