3rd Dan USA Karate.
Member of WDOB since:
January 1999
Martial Arts history:
I've competed in over 500 tournaments, some of which
has been in other states, like California, Kentucky,
Nevada, Georgia, Oregon, Florida, Texas, and many more.
I started in California with Red Dragon when I was 11
years old. Professor Ron
Bennett was and is my 1st teacher. He is the one
I thank for getting my East and West coast titles. I
also competed in NASKA, TPA, AKKA, NBL, and many more
federations. Throughout the years, I've performed many
demos for schools, businesses, and many other functions.
The reason I wanted to study karate is because I wanted
to be Donatello, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
Awards and Achievements:
With being in over 500 tournaments, I've earned at least
4,000 trophies and awards. I've also received the Best
Competitor of the Year and Best All Around for 6 years.
I helped my community out a lot by having myself and
other teachers go to schools, YMCA, and other children
facilities to teach them about karate and what we do.
I also was teaching a class called Rapist Beware. It
is a class where I help woman defend themselves in the
time of need. Compete Magazine and the local newspapers
have interviewed me on many occasions about my achievements
and community functions. I am 23 years old and now have
a family of two wonderful kids, my son Jordan and his
sister McKinzee. My kids will be in karate in the near
future!
About me:
For being in karate for 11 years, it may seem that is
the only thing I like to do, but I like to do many other
things. For example, I like skydiving, bungee jumping,
rock climbing, 4-wheeling, dirt bike riding, camping,
fishing, and spending time with my family and friends.
One other thing I love to do is work on cars. I like
to rebuild and restore them back to mint condition.
Volkswagens are the models I really enjoy working on
and I have collected many items from them. I like martial
art movies and actions movies mostly, but I'm not picky.
When it comes to food, I like everything, all types
of food especially from different cultures. Now that
I live in Utah, the only sport I have to travel for
is surfing. when I lived in California, I did a lot
of surfing and beach activities. The past few years
has been hard on my martial arts training because of
my daughter going through some really hard surgeries,
but she is doing awesome now. I will always love my
family and friends through thick and thin waters. The
one person who helped me believe in myself and others
is my one and only teacher, Professor Ron
Bennett. |
