Martial Arts History:
I started martial arts with Tang
Soo Do from Jim McGill in Peoria ILL from 1983-1987.
I attained a probationary black belt in October of '87,
the day before I joined the Navy. I trained at three
other schools during the Navy but never really found
one that I liked, so I became frustrated with my training
and eventually quit.

About Me:
I was born Feb 22, 1969 in Peoria Ill where I lived
until I was 18 and joined the Navy. I have always loved
martial arts since the age of 13 when I saw the movie
"Revenge
of the Ninja" and joined Tang
Soo Do shortly afterwards. I came across White Dragons
of Bushido by Sensei Bill.
Sensei Bill was visiting Utah where he used to train
as a White Dragon from Pennsylvania to test a couple
of his students with Shihan Ron
Bennett. We are both members of the "International
Church of Christ" which is a world wide church
and he looked up the church in Utah and got hold of
me. I picked him up from Shihans house sunday morning
and had the honor of meeting Shihan and his family.
Talking to him for a short while really inspired me
to take up martial arts again. I just want to thank
Ron and Jaylene for believing in me and helping me to
get back in shape and finish what I started so long
ago. I also want to thank my awesome wife and friend
Susan who supported me the whole way getting my Black
Belt. Susan is now and Orange
belt and i hope to promote her to black belt some day. |
